| Our time is spent between meeting with clients and researching investment opportunities for them. We listen to our clients and develop solutions based on their needs and goals. When coming up with recommendations for clients, we concentrate on cash flow and utilize historical analysis to estimate probabilities of not running out of money throughout the projected retirement period. We then structure investment portfolios attempting to mitigate investment risk through diversification.
We do not attempt to manage assets directly, but rather engage in extensive research of professional investment managers. As independent financial advisors we are not involved with a proprietary product or investment. We have access to a large number of investment providers and are able to choose those we find best fitting for our clients.
We have adopted a three-step process for prospective clients. The first appointment is an informational interview. We will collect information regarding current situation, future needs and goals, cash flows, investments as well as explore other considerations.
In the second meeting we will present the client with the overall investment plan aimed to meet their needs and goals. The third meeting involves a detailed discussion of the proposal and is the final step before the suggestions are implemented.
We continuously monitor our clients’ accounts and communicate any changes if necessary. Additionally, we meet with our clients semiannually to review their portfolio and discuss any changes that may affect the investment plan.
Our business is structured to derive most of its revenue from a percentage of the assets under management fee arrangement. Under such an arrangement we have the incentive to utilize the best tools and ideas to help our clients grow their accounts in the long term and not engage in short-term buying and selling. We intend on serving our clients throughout their retirement and believe that a perfectly transparent, fee-based approach is the best compensation alternative.
